Let's build an Octblade Part 1

Description

Hi everybody, and this is the start of one of my latest projects, the modification to my Warhammer 40k Baneblade tank. This project has been sitting on my desk for some time and I have pretty much finished it except for a few things, though I thought it would be cool to post how I did it.

The main concept of this model is that since it is such a rather large kit (Eight different appearances/armaments) I thought it would be best to get the most out of the build. In addition, this modification is rather easy to do, especially for those (like myself) who really don't care for magnets. The model itself will be divided into swappable sections that can be switched on the fly, hence the name Octblade.

This first image is mainly a starting place and more will be explained as I upload further. The main body so to say is assembled according to the instructions minus a few details, and the first modular component is seen next to the track on the left.

More to come soon.

I was getting curious... octblade isn't a well known version of the Baneblade. Xour description cleared up the name! Wish you good luck with that project! I will try to do a similar thing with my upcoming Rhino tanks!
